Lunenburg Lake

Lunenburg Lake or as it is known locally, "the reservoir", provides more opportunites for outdoor activities.  The reservoir was originally built just outside of town by the Virginian Railway as a water source for its operations.  The company envisioned it as a park for the residents of the town.  Today, Lunenburg Lake offers fishing, boating, and hiking.  There is a nature trail that meanders along the shore of the lake allowing visitors to see the many sights of nature available in this habitat.
