The Victoria Town Office and DMV Select will be closing early on Wednseday, November 27th, at 1:00 PM in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The Town Office will re-open on Monday, December 2nd, at our regular scheduled hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM). Trash pick up scheduled for Friday, November 29th, will be done on Monday, December 2nd. We hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday!

The holiday season has arrived and we here at the Victoria Town Office understand how busy of a season this is. Along with our day to day lives everyone is also thrown the task of planning fun and memorable experiences with their family and friends as well as the neccessary travel arrangements to make these experiences happen. With this in mind we have decided to add an additional, more convenient, option to register for our Lunenburg County Christmas Parade. Below is a link that will take you to an online registy for those that would like to participate in the parade but can't find the time to get to the Victoria Town Office or even reach out to us in order to receive an entry form. All you need to do is click on the link and fill out the required information, once all the information is filled out just submit the form and you're done! Along with these online forms, we are still using our physical entry forms that can be picked up at the Victoria Town Office. If you would like to request an entry form please feel free to email us at vicca@victoriava.net to receive an entry form via email. We've also placed a link to the entry form that would need to be emailed, mailed, or brought back to the Victoria Town Office. The Lunenburg County Christmas Parade will be Friday, December 6th, starting at 7:00 PM, the parade route is from Court Street and Tidewater Avenue to Main Street and down to 3rd Street. We are so excited to see everyone and enjoy a night filled with floats, marching bands, and christmas magic!
Lunenburg County Christmas Parade

We are happy to announce the annual Lunenburg County Christmas Parade will be held in the Town of Victoria on Friday, December 6th, at 7:00 pm. If anyone would like to participate in the parade with a float, marching band, farm equipment, or anything of that nature just fill out our entry form and return it to the Victoria Town Office, or email the filled out form to vicca@victoriava.net. You may pick up an entry form at the Victoria Town Office or follow the link below to be dericted to a blank entry form. Line up for members of the parade will start at 6:00 pm on Tidewater Avenue, Victoria VA. 23974. If you have any questions comments or concerns please feel free to call the Victoria Town Office at (434) 696-2343 on extension 4. We are very excited to hear from you all!
Town of Victoria's Trunk or Treat

As we creep towards Halloween we want to invite all local bussinesses, churches, clubs, and individuals to participate in Victoria's Trunk or Treat. This year's Tunk or Treat will be held on October 31st, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at our Victoria Railroad Park, 1403 Firehouse Road. We invite everyone to dress up in fun costumes, decorate their car trunks, and hand out candy to all the ghosts and ghouls under the age of 13! Discolored Water

The Town of Victoria’s primary water source is the Nottoway River. The raw water from the river is pumped to the water filtration plant for treatment prior to being pumped into the water system. Water plant operators continually monitor the incoming water and adjust as needed to meet Virginia Department of Health requirements.
Autumn Days Festival

Our Autumn Days Festival is right around the corner! This years festival will be held on Saturday, October 12, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at our Victoria Railroad Park (1403 Firehouse Rd. Victoria, VA). We are welcoming anyone and everyone to come and be a vendor for this event whether you want to sell food, crafts, trinkets, or get the word out about an important topic. To be a vendor for this festival you must submit one of our vendor forms and pay the $30 space reservation fee. Each vendor will get a 10X20 space to set up their tables, tents, or anything else they would like to bring. If you plan on being one of our food vendors you will not only need to fill out our food vendor form, but also apply for a temporary restaurant permit with the local Health Department if you do not already have the required permits to sell food in a public space. Once your forms are completed you can bring them to the Victoria town office, mail them to the Victoria town office (1809 Main St. Victoria, VA), or email them to our secretary/event cooridnator, William Pernell, at william.pernell@victoriava.net. We can take vendor reservation payments over the phone, by mail, or in person at our Victoria town office (1809 Main St. Victoria, Va.).
Code of Virginia Changes for Utility Billing Policy effective July 1, 2024.

The Code of Virginia has extended the time an account can be delinquent. Residential customers will not be discontinued until 45 days past due and if the weather temperature is over 92 degrees (forecasted local temperature provided by the National Weather Service). The town has added the following penalties for accounts not paid by the 15th of each month. Listed below is the updated Utility Billing Policy:

In honor of Independence day the Victoria Town Office/DMV Select will be closed Thursday July 4th. The office will re-open on July 5th at normal operational hours, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. We hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday.
Water Conservation

A recent article in StreamLine, a publication of the Virginia Rural Water Association, provides insight into common residential water usage and some common causes of water loss. Flushing toilets account for approximately 27% of household water usage. This number can increase significantly due to a leaking toilet which is more likely to leak than any other household fixture.

The Victoria Town Office and DMV Select will be closed Wednesday, June 19th, in honor of Juneteenth. We hope everyone has a great holiday. The Victoria Town Office and DMV Select will open back up at our regular schedule (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) on Thursday June 20th.

Hydrant Flushing Postponed

Due to the major leakage on 11th and Lee Street today, the hydrant flushing scheduled for this evening has been postponed to a later date which will be announced once decided upon. Thank you to everyone who helped resolve this issue.
Farm Use Plate and Placard Update:

Farmers in Virginia use vehicles in a variety of ways for their farms. The type of license plates or placards you choose to display on your vehicle determines how the vehicle may be used.Beginning July 1, 2024, a DMV-issued permanent farm use placard is required for unlicensed (unregistered) farm use panel trucks, pickup trucks, or sport utility vehicles with a GVWR under 7,500 pounds.
