The 250th Anniversary of the founding of our nation is coming fast on July 4, 2026

 Lunenburg County will celebrate on the grounds of our historic court house with a family-friendly morning of activities, starting at 9:00 AM with games, face painting, a mini car show, food trucks, and more.  

The morning will continue with a patriotic program at 10:30 spotlighting past Lunenburg patriots and honoring our local veterans. The program’s prelude music will begin at 10:15, signaling everyone to assemble on the court house lawn.  Bring your lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the program.  After the program, the grounds will remain open until 1:00 PM for your enjoyment.
