Office Closure Monday April 21st.

The Victoria Town Office and DMV Select will be closed Monday, April 21st in observance of Easter. Trash Pick up scheduled for Monday will be done on Tuesday, April 22nd and Tuesdays trash pick up will be done on Wednesday, April 23rd. We hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday.

With the help of the Klassy Divas Social Club we are happy to announce our 22nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 19th, starting at 10:00 AM, located at our Victoria Railroad Park! We will have all of the children split up into three age groups as followed:
Music in the Park

This Friday, April 18th, kicks off our first of three Music in the Parks this summer! We are having The Wings of Mercy come and play their signature gospel and country music live for everyone at our Victoria Railroad Park. We will also have Pippy's Doghouse's food truck as well as Get Silly Lemonade selling their custom drinks! Music in the Park is a free entry event that starts at 6:00 PM and ends at 9:00 PM so come and enjoy a night out with live music, great food, and our community!
Hydrant Flushing April 22nd, & 23rd.

The Town of Victoria will be flushing our fire hydrants on April 22nd & April 23rd 2025. If you experience low water pressure or discolored water during this time we advise you to wait to flush your system after the hydrant flushing has been completed in your area. If you do experience low water pressure or discolored water after the hydrant flushing has been completed we recommend you flush your system by running your water from an outdoor faucet until you water clears up. Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this process!

The Town of Victoria is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. The position of Police Officer involves the routine performance of general police duties which may include patrol, criminal investigation, crime prevention, traffic control, accident investigation, and any other duties required by department policy or town ordinance. Applicants must be 21 years of age, high school graduate or equivalent, possess a valid Virginia Driver’s License, must be a U. S. citizen, excellent physical condition, excellent reputation, and moral character. Current Virginia police officer certification desired but not required. A copy of the job description may be obtained at the town office. Applications may be obtained at the Victoria Municipal Building 1809 Main St. Victoria, Virginia, during regular business hours or online at www.victoriava.net. Hydrant Testing on Nottoway Boulevard

The Town of Victoria will be conducting hydrant testing on Thursday, March 27th, in the afternoon on Nottoway Boulevard. Residents located in this area may experience low water pressure and/or discolored water during this testing. If you are experiencing this issue at that time we advise you to wait until the evening on Thursday when the testing has finished and flush your system by running your water through an outdoor faucet until the water clears up. Budget Work Session

The Victoria Town Council will hold a budget work session on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.. The work session will begin at the Victoria Municipal Building, 1809 Main Street, Victoria, VA and will include site visits to the Victoria Water Filtration Plant, 1000 Filter Plant Road, Victoria Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1915 5th Street, and the Grove Avenue Sewage Pump Station. Following the site visits the council will reconvene at the Victoria Municipal Building to continue the workshop.

The Town of Victoria will hold a public hearing at the Victoria Municipal Building located at 1809 Main Street, Victoria on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. to hear comments on the proposed disposition and acquisition of the following property in accordance with VA Code 15.2-1800.

The Victoria Town Council and Planning Commission will hold a Joint Public Hearing during the regularly scheduled council meeting on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 beginning at 7:00 PM in the Victoria Municipal Building, 1809 Main Street, Victoria, VA 23974 for public input on the Lunenburg/Kenbridge/Victoria Joint Comprehensive Plan 2025-2030 as prepared in conformance with Section 15.2-2223 of the Code of Virginia.

The trash pick up route scheduled for this day will be done on Tuesday, January 21st, and Tuesdays trash pick up route will be done on Wednesday, January 22nd. The Town Office will re-open on Monday, December 2nd, at our regular scheduled hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM). Trash pick up scheduled for Friday, November 29th, will be done on Monday, December 2nd. Lunenburg County Christmas Parade Update:

The holiday season has arrived and we here at the Victoria Town Office understand how busy of a season this is. Along with our day to day lives everyone is also thrown the task of planning fun and memorable experiences with their family and friends as well as the neccessary travel arrangements to make these experiences happen. With this in mind we have decided to add an additional, more convenient, option to register for our Lunenburg County Christmas Parade. Below is a link that will take you to an online registy for those that would like to participate in the parade but can't find the time to get to the Victoria Town Office or even reach out to us in order to receive an entry form. All you need to do is click on the link and fill out the required information, once all the information is filled out just submit the form and you're done! Along with these online forms, we are still using our physical entry forms that can be picked up at the Victoria Town Office. If you would like to request an entry form please feel free to email us at vicca@victoriava.net to receive an entry form via email. We've also placed a link to the entry form that would need to be emailed, mailed, or brought back to the Victoria Town Office. The Lunenburg County Christmas Parade will be Friday, December 6th, starting at 7:00 PM, the parade route is from Court Street and Tidewater Avenue to Main Street and down to 3rd Street. We are so excited to see everyone and enjoy a night filled with floats, marching bands, and christmas magic!

We are happy to announce the annual Lunenburg County Christmas Parade will be held in the Town of Victoria on Friday, December 6th, at 7:00 pm. If anyone would like to participate in the parade with a float, marching band, farm equipment, or anything of that nature just fill out our entry form and return it to the Victoria Town Office, or email the filled out form to vicca@victoriava.net. You may pick up an entry form at the Victoria Town Office or follow the link below to be dericted to a blank entry form. Line up for members of the parade will start at 6:00 pm on Tidewater Avenue, Victoria VA. 23974.
